I've just completed painting and basing the Curteys Miniatures Dark Age farm.
The set includes all the buildings(resin) and figures (metal) shown but are supplied unpainted.
Also included is a sprue of wattle plastic fencing by Renedra.
There is enough fencing to re produce the farm shown or to whatever layout you want.
Great looking terrain. Would be a nice addition to many scenarios.

ReplyDeleteLove the use of grey for the wood and thatch - so much better than the teddy bear 'brown' we so often see on tables.
ReplyDeleteThe base board is nothing to be ashamed over either :-)
Thanks for posting this.
Wow! Thats very nice. Hm, i have to thing about :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments, i've tried to go for the old weathered thatch look. I think it looks better than the fresh yellow straw look.
ReplyDeleteWhat paints did you use for this stunning grey effect of the woods?
ReplyDeleteI use a variety of Emulsion paint mixed at a local DIY store, base and fences were given a base coat of Dark Oak fence paint and then dry brushed up using the same colours ar the wood on the buildings. The final highlight is added using a light grey.
ReplyDeleteI plan to do a painting tutorial on the next farm.
